Jamie CG mashes DJ Schmolli

Britain’s mashup artist Jamie CG used one of my remixes (”Dub Be Good To Me” from 2006) and edited out the instrumental for his mashup with the Scissor Sisters classic “Take Your Mama Out”. My remix itself samples Smokie’s “Boat On The River” as you might recognise.

Something for my German speaking fans, Austria’s Texta together with Germany’s Blumentopf are rapping/singing over the famous 80s pop anthem “Love Is A Battlefield” by Pat Benatar.

Go Austria!!! “Hickefaction” for our soccer team…

So this is a track I’ve mixed for the European soccer championship which is held in Austria & Switzerland this June. The lyrics are in German and they are pretty much making fun of our Austrian team. The vocal melody is based on the title track of the 70s cartoon series “Wickie und die starken Männer” (Vicky the viking) which is well known all over Europe. I mixed it with the Rolling Stones classic “Satisfaction” and added some extra beats to make it more punchy.

You’ll get this track plus “Hips Don’t Lie (L’ombelico de la Vida)” (a mashup I did 2006 for the world championship) in a zip-file HERE (Uploaded) or HERE (Sendspace).

I’ve been a huge Turbonegro fan for quite a while & now it’s time to finally mash them. “F.T.W.” is not a typical Turbonegro song, it’s way more epic even orchestral than most of their other tracks. Anyway it’s a fine tune so here it is in combination with “Say It Right”.
